Two new ECPC associate members
Pembe Hanim, Turkey
ECPC is proud to welcome Pembe Hanim as a new associate member! Pembe Hanım is a Turkish International Umbrella Cancer Association established in Istanbul in 2009.
The aims of the association include policy-making, patient advocacy, public health education and the development of projects for the moral support and psychological wellbeing of cancer patients and caregivers. With a very high appreciation and effectiveness among international cancer organisations but also within the Turkish National Health System, Pembe Hanım implements a strong patient-focused strategy to ensure a better quality of life for cancer patients and survivors.
This year, Pembe Hanım has partnered up with the American Cancer Society to organise the first ever ''Relay for Life'' in Turkey between 10 - 11 October 2015 in Istanbul. Should you be willing to participate or show your support, we encourage you to get in touch with the organiser, Pembe Hanim Founding Member and current International Relations Coordinator, Seda Kansu at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ECPC had the opportunity to make the wonderful encounter of Seda a few months ago and maintains, ever since, a very good collaboration with the organisation.
